Who knows how steep the cost of the Cat King's attention would be one day- or even Sokie's attention, for that matter. But he was getting indulged, that was for sure.
So was Sokie. She melted into his arms, closing her eyes as she kissed him back, leaning against him. The kiss was warm, sweet, and tasted like wine.
